The Black House

We went to the Black House in the beginning of May. The Black House is a historical landmark in the city of Ellsworth Maine.

The trail is well taken care of

Unless you go right after a rainstorm like we did. Mud that will eat your boots is all over the place

Some areas get flooded too.

Most places that normally flood have a wooden path set up.

This pond at the end, or beginning of the loop depending on how you go, is home to frogs and ducks.

Steve’s Adventure!

Near where I live is a bird sanctuary with hiking paths.

There is still snow on the ground!

We walked a mile and a half, and only completed a quarter of the trails.

Along with the snow were frost heaves, some were huge.

The place is called Birdsacre. I will post more about this cool place later because I spend so much the there in the summer.
